A Night To Cause The Narcissist-In-Chief To Look For A Friendly Pool

No, no, not to drown himself in. Hmmm, now that is a thought. Rather to contemplate his reflection in calm waters, and reaffirm I I I love for Me Me Me  self.

Children Of The State — A Small Victory But Stay Alert

Children of the State? Just more of the same from the Obama administration, or better said, perhaps, soon-to-be dictatorship, and what is now the rapid tumbling of what was once the greatest republic in the history of man, sinking into an age of misery and darkness.

Secret Service And GSA Scandals–Tip Of The Iceberg?

Thought of adding the Fast and Furious debacle to the scandal list for this article, but that topic stands alone for a couple reasons, most of all because it resulted in the tragic murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, a decent American doing his job for an Obama administration that has established it cares more about covering up gross stupidity and incompetence, than his murder, a murder it is responsible for. Guess his murder is just collateral damage for the greater good of keeping a would-be leader for life in the presidency for another illegal term, and another and another and another… And that is a fact.

Trayvon Martin Tragedy–The Bad And The Ugly

The expression is, the good, the bad, and the ugly. But there can be nothing good when an innocent life is taken. Nothing good, especially when we look at the death of a young man named Trayvon Martin. A senseless killing. A young man cut down when his life on this good earth was just starting. He had another seventy years or so adread of him. Being alive is precious, breathing is precious. Having seventy years of this precious life suddenly torn away in a senseless, unnecessary incident is beyond tragic.

State Of The Union? — You Could Have Fooled Me

Well, in case you missed it, Tuesday night we seem to have had a State of the Union address before our Congress, both houses – no, no, houses of Congress, not the other, although I understand the confusion – the Senate and the House of Representatives. Oh yeah, and also some American people watching via television, including those who had given up trying to find their usual dumbed-down sitcom. But no problem, they got hooked on the dumbed-down State of the Union presentation, even funnier than the replaced sitcoms. In fact a good part of our citizenry is anxiously waiting for next week’s episode. Like the sitcoms, they think the State of the Union address was real.

We Need A Champion

Not a happy business to look at any of the collection of men currently seeking to be the Republican candidate for president, and wonder. Sure, they all are right on one thing, any of them would be better than another four years of Barack Obama.

The Winner — None Of The Above!

You undoubtedly know how it is to go into a voting booth, look at the list of candidates asking to represent you as your “servant of the people,” and wish there were another choice at the bottom of the list — “None Of The Above.”  A too familiar cliché, but imagine how it would be if  “None Of The Above” were running the country, the states, and so on.

The American GI — You Saved The World

The American GI is leaving Iraq.  Good News.  A job well done – leaving an Iraq now where free people have the opportunity to remain free.  And if it has to be done again, as some speculate – then the American GI will do it again.  Something we and the civilized and free world can count on, because the American GI has done it before and will do it again.

A Fight Down To The Wire — The Payroll Tax Cut

With only 12 days to go before the January 1 deadline, the deal on the Payroll Tax Cut Extension just fell off the cliff in the House of Representatives. The Senate
passed a short-term, 2-month extension but the House refuses to drink the cool-aid. It is holding out for a full year extension.

Wake Up Congress — There’s Untapped Taxpayer Money For You To Spend!

Cain Continues Race – Wife Says Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy

Folks, the news is good. Today, Saturday, December 3, addressing the media in Atlanta, Herman Cain, his wife standing beside him, made it clear he was not going to let the news media, and baseless accusations of sexual harassment and an extra-marital affair slow down his campaign to capture the Republican nomination for the presidency. “Full speed ahead,” he declared.

America Gone Missing – Penn State Heartbreak – Why?

The assumption is most everyone knows something about the Penn State situation. Most of us probably know more than just something. What has been reported is horrendous. Of course, the word, "alleged," has to be included or assumed when the crimes, some inexcusable, others sickening, are mentioned in this article.

Tax The World and Redistribute – What Would Robin Hood Do?

The Robin Hood tax coming to your community? Sure thing, if the Occupy Wall Street gang and their comrades ever get their way. Of course, they’re not going to get their way, this time, but these misfits and malcontents will never, ever stop their destructive radical activities. Count on it.

America Gone Missing – Belated Independence Day July 4, 2011

A personal note: I know this article is a few months late. Please see the previous article, dated October 12, about Memorial Day, for an explanation. Read the first three paragraphs of that article. Thanks.

America Gone Missing – Belated Memorial Day 2011

Personal note: I know this article, about Memorial Day, and the one that follows, dated October 14, about the 4th of July, are a few months late. There is a reason. Given what is happening in this once greatest of nations, I found it impossible to write these article on or about May 30 and July 4. I tried, but my heart was not in it. I read what others wrote, elegant words, essays that soared. My words are not elegant, I doubt if I’ve ever written anything that soared. I didn’t want to write what others said better. I wanted to write something different, concrete, meaningful. And now perhaps I have.

A Stimulus By Any Other Name Is Still A Stimulus

If you don’t succeed, just call it by another name and try again. Once upon a time, in 2009, it was called a "stimulus," and Congress – remember them, they are employed by us, the people, or so I’ve been told by James Madison – was told by our esteemed leader that the bill had to be passed yesterday, urgent stuff, he had to save the country, that sort of thing. The future of America, as we know it, was in jeopardy.

Blame, Blame, Blame – That’s Barack’s Game

He’s at it again, Barack the Younger, that is. Who’s left to blame? Well, our president will let us know. The wife? The kids? His corn flakes weren’t crisp enough? Still plenty of contenders about.

More Obama Big Lies

Hate to be writing this on my birthday. We have a President who by his actions seems to be a congenital liar. Just latent lies, not even clever lies at that. Assume he believes enough Americans are stupid, don’t care, are permanent, enthusiastic recipients of central government redistribution of other Americans (those rich guys) stolen money, or adore him so much they will believe anything. Rather than helping to erase class division, as he promised, he is intent on expanding a dependent lower class which will support his effort to change America fundamentally.

It Happens Every Spring

You’re a kid but you don’t know it. As you run out to your position in center field, sixteen years old, a high school junior, you feel like a big leaguer. It’s April, and it’s the top of the first, the start of the season for your high school baseball team. And the air is fresh and crisp, and the mowed grass beneath you is green and smells fresh, and you feel strong.

Where’s The Leadership, Where’s The Muscle

As of this date, it seems obvious the military loyal to Muammar Gaddafi are about to overrun and destroy the Libyan democracy fighters. As inept a military as they are, they do have the fire power, attack planes, artillery, and tanks.

Cuts That Don’t Hurt Too Much

As we all know, the federal government is spending our money like a truckload of drunks on a week-end gambling spree. The only difference is, the drunks are blowing the cash that belongs to them, while the money the government is spending is the cash they are looting from us – the taxpayers.

Get Gaddafi Now!

On Sunday our Secretary of State got tough. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, spoke to reporters before flying to Geneva for talks with diplomats from Russia, the European Union and elsewhere, about mounting some opposition to the out-of-control Moammar Gaddafi. "We've been reaching out to many different Libyans who are attempting to organize in the East," Clinton said, referring to efforts to form a provisional government in the eastern part of Libya. "We are ready and prepared to offer any type of assistance.” She did not elaborate on what type of assistance, but the threat is there.
