First Debate — Romney Obliterates An Empty Chair
The best speech during the Republican convention, Democrat convention, too, was for sure not really a speech, but Clint Eastwood’s spontaneous conversation with an empty chair. It was a Will Rogers/Mark Twain moment, exposing a serious truth, using simple words and humor. That’s the sort of thing we, the simple folk, understand best and remember best.
And it was the EC (Empty Chair), aka schoolyard bully, aka Barack Obama, that showed up for the first presidential debate Tuesday evening. There was no there, there, just an empty chair. An actual Barack Obama did stand at an actual podium, but anyone with an ounce of imagination, very soon after the start of the debate, knew they were watching and listening to the empty chair of Clint Eastwood’s performance.
Mitt Romney didn’t just win, he obliterated his opponent, who, God forbid, has actually been the president of the United States of America and the most powerful man in the world for almost four years. For those watching the naked Obama in action, or more often not in action during this debate, that thought ought to sober even the most passive citizen who is not one of the brain dead.
Some, attentive citizens, have glimpsed the real Obama from time to time, but such glimpses are covered up by the loyal LP (Left Press) protecting the myth they and others have created. Fortunately, the LP does not include all the internet, radio, and Fox News on cable television. Unfortunately, most Americans are primarily exposed to media controlled by the Left.
Consequently, it must have been a major shock for most of the seventy million plus viewers to actually see the naked Obama, the empty chair, not an intellectual giant at all, a man of ordinary intelligence at best, obviously uneasy, not interested in having to debate without teleprompters to save him — the telepromters, Fidel and Che, being on a well-deserved vacation.
There he stood, his head slumped downward, almost no eye contact, exposed and not liking it, a petulant and angry adolescent, letting America and the world see him as he really is. The truth is this wannabe dictator for life is a lazy, uninterested president who hates this country, has no use for our Constitution unless it benefits him, has no use for our representative government structure, and has no use for our history unless he can use it to criticize the country.
He’s a serial liar, not a congenital, consummate liar like Bill Clinton, just your everyday, unremarkable liar, different from the average liar only in that he does it all the time and gets away with it, because the ever-loyal and "crazy-in-love-with-Barack" LP never lets the unworthy citizenry, chumps like you and me, know the truth. And he’s an obvious narcissist, a megalomaniac, full of himself, in love with himself, and expecting everyone else to love him, too.
The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, for Goodness sakes, after being president for only nine months, given to him by adoring Norwegians, or, at least the five in the committee that makes the decision. What did our EC (Empty Chair) do to earn the Peace Prize? Well-l-l, ah-h-h — nothing. God, he really is a God. Actually, to be fair, always be fair about the schoolyard bully, he did say lots of words, talked and talked and talked – wore out his teleprompters, who put in their resignations afterward, which were not accepted.
Of course, to keep things in prospective, the Norwegians gave the same Peace Prize to Al Gore and Jimmy Carter. Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan did not receive the prize. They didn’t measure up with with an Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, or Obama. They only destroyed the greatest threat to world peace in history – the Soviet Union, armed with deliverable nuclear weapons and threatening to use them. Not good enough compared with Obama opening his mouth, looking at a teleprompter, and talking.
Obama won the prize for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” Wow, he did that just by talking. And again, remember he had only been president for nine months. Amazing.
How did this idiot impress the Norwegians? Basically, he apologized to the world for all the awful things the United States of America was responsible for in recent history, and vowed things would be different now because he would see to it. He would change things and thus there would be peace in the world, since America was the guilty party that was preventing peace. In addition to talking, he bowed and he groveled. Very, very impressive.
Thus, we have this clown’s foreign policy, it would seem, since nothing else comes to mind. The last presidential debate is on foreign policy. Let’s see how well he defends it. No teleprompter! Perhaps he will demonstrate his unique gift and success in the foreign policy area by bowing and groveling for us. More likely he will remain an Empty Chair. Stay tuned.
Already, excuses have come in from Obama creators and sycophants about their God’s abysmal performance during this first debate. Poor Jim Lehrer has been blamed for not controlling Romney, letting him run away with the debate, not stopping the bleeding. On a couple occasions, Lehrer did try to help out, prompting Obama with softball questions, but to no avail. Lehrer’s almost non-involvement did do what he said he wanted, to allow the candidates the opportunity to debate without interference.
Romney dominated the proceedings because he had something to say, and did so with enthusiasm, self-assurance, clarity, civility, and occasional humor. Obama could do nothing except half-heartedly challenge Romney. His only basic message during the campaign has been that he will continue to do more of whatever he’s been doing, more of the same, keep the course, forward, forward. Really bold stuff. What else does he have – not much.
Sometimes, "Mr. Hope and Change" seems to be running against whoever the president was during the last four years. Or, you might think Bush was that fellow since Obama says he’s not going to let the country return to the sort of economics that caused the problem we have, not on his watch. The truth is Obama has little understanding of even basic economics. He really doesn’t care, is uninterested and too lazy to think about the subject. His goals have to do with power and control — control and power. Everything is a means to that end, even the use of planned distraction and confusion.
Bob Woodward sure had a unique excuse for why "the love of his life" flopped so badly during the debate. He speculated our Barack was distracted by concern about a major problem, perhaps personal, or having to do with the country. The weight of the world on the shoulders of the most important man on Planet Earth and beyond. Ah, gee – do you think so?
Maybe he was thinking about secret negotiations with the Iranian Regime, where the Iranians would announce a halt to their nuclear efforts, just before the American election, in return for relaxing the blockade that is causing major economic unrest inside Iran. October surprise — maybe just before the final debate, for the topic of foreign policy.
Or, perhaps this distraction postulated by Woodward has to do with Obama’s disgust that all this campaign and debate nonsense is cutting down his time on the golf course. Somehow that seems a more likely reason, because it was obvious the Empty Chair sure did not want to be in Denver on Tuesday evening.
Bob Woodward? Now that name rings a bell – famous investigative reporter who was a major reason Richard Nixon had to resign the presidency for covering up the bungled Watergate break-in. Helped bring down a corrupt president, and co-wrote a best seller about his investigation of the scandal, and several other best sellers since then, inside stuff, juicy stuff. Bob, what about a book exposing Murdergate, aka Fast and Furious? – bigger scandal than Watergate, which was just a bungled break-in by amateurs, no one killed, no one murdered. Right now, Bob, there is a scandal out there, just waiting for you, potential premeditated murder by a president and attorney general of the United States, murder of hundreds of people, big cover up, executive privilege part of it. What about it, Bob? Hope you’re not dismissing possibly the biggest scandal in American history because Barack Obama is a Democrat – not a Republican likeNixon.
Hey, wait a minute. Bob, you sly fellow. You wouldn’t let a president or attorney general get away with premeditated murder, even though the former is the object of your unrequited love. You’re a true investigative reporter, a "let the old chips fall where they may" kind of guy. I’ll bet you’ve got the book just about finished. Copies will be rolling off the press before the election. There won’t be any last debate. Instead, Obama will be in Indonesia, explaining he is still a citizen, wants protection, saying he plans to be a politician when he grows up.
Ah, if only it were true. One can dream.
To sum it up, on Tuesday night the nation saw Barack Obama as he really is, nothing special, truly an empty chair when compared to the phony myth created by his leftist handlers and minions, along with a perpetuation of the lies told by most of an adoring media. Presidential and VP debates do two important things, above all else. No teleprompters for the candidates, and the media is cut out of the process. It’s the naked candidates and the voters — nothing more.
And there he stood, a naked Obama, nothing there, there, just an empty chair. But be prepared, even an empty chair can be dangerous when cornered.

Thanks for the post. You are right – this was a rout. By now, we have seen all three debates. I think Romney carried all three. What I do not understand, though, is why Romney has not made more of the dreaded "Obamacare." Particularly devastating about this healthcare act are the gruesome "death panels," where Obama's men march into your home and tell you it's time for you to die – no more healthcare for you. What mind thought them up? Anyway, I like your site. It's a winner!
